Adele fuels engagement rumours with ‘alright’ reply to Graham Norton questions

February 11, 2022

Adele seemed to confirm her engagement to NBA Sports agent Rich Paul on the Graham Norton show on Friday (February 11).

The 33-year-old chart topper found herself in a bit of a corner when the BBC host quizzed her over the gigantic ring that was placed on her wedding finger.

Speaking about Adele's performance at the BRIT Awards 2022 earlier in the week, Graham said: "I don't know if anyone noticed when you were sat at the piano singing, microphone in right hand…. the left hand didn't move as much as normal.

Then the host joked: "It almost seemed heavier."

The award-winning artist began to laugh, before Graham prompted: "Is there…?"

Interjecting, Adele barked back: "As if I would ever tell anyone if I was or wasn't."

With the ring in full view of the camera, she added: "It's lovely though ain't it?"

Graham commented: "I have to say as a casual observer it looks like you are."

Adele laughed and coyly agreed: "Alright," as Graham cheekily chirped: "I'm taking that as a yes."

The Rolling In The Deep star's fans were convinced that Adele and Rich Paul had taken their romance to the next level when the songstress stepped out on the red carpet of the BRITs on Tuesday (February 8) with a huge ring on that finger.

If one thing was clear, Adele certainly wasn't hiding the diamond from view as she posed for snaps on the red carpet with sparkling jewel in eyesight.

It didn't take long for eagle-eyed fans to notice the gigantic rock, with many taking to Twitter to air their thoughts.

One person penned: "Anyone else notice Adele wearing a huge diamond ring on her finger. She's subtly telling everyone she's engaged."

Another online user quipped: "Of course Adele is engaged, she needs material for the obligatory 'divorce album'. Now that's good career planning!"

While a third tweet read: "Adele engaged to Rich Paul…she's announcing it but not announcing it."
