A PLACE In The Sun host Laura Hamilton sent temperatures soaring even further in the already scorching Maldives.

The popular Channel 4 presenter, 39, shared a snap of herself in tiny hotpants as she enjoyed her holiday to Celebrate her forthcoming 40th birthday.

Laura looked incredible dressed in the white shorts, which included a black belt.

She completed her summer look with a black vest top and sandals.

The picture was taken in front of a gorgeous background of holiday huts which were perched above water.

The TV star is on holiday with her kids, and also shared a rare snap of her cute children standing in the idyllic sea.

Laura is enjoying a much needed break following the break up of her marriage to husband Alex Goward.

In an interview with Hello! Magazine, Laura confessed: "There have been times I have been so overwhelmed with sadness."

She said of their split: "It was a chapter of my life that I am now closing, and I have so many happy memories.

"I am very much someone who believes in focusing on the future, not having regrets, and I want to be positive for my children."

Laura married insurance broker Alex in 2012 – three years after they started dating.

They share two children together, eight-year-old Rocco and a daughter Tahlia, six.

'DIFFERENT PATHS'

Candidly addressing the reason for the split, she told the publication: "It was a decision we both came to. We have an enormous amount of respect for each other, but we are now on different paths.

"At the point it was announced, we'd already overcome a lot of difficult times.

"But I am lucky that we have the relationship and respect for each other that we have, and our children's happiness will always be our priority."

Laura has been part of the A Place In The Sun presenting team since 2011.

With a keen eye for a bargain, and passion for property renovation and interior design, Laura bought her first property entirely self funded at just 19.

Laura now has an impressive portfolio of houses.
