We don’t know about you but we love a story of an adorable dog going out of its way to be with its owner.
Based on the book A Dog’s Way Home by W. Bruce Cameron (the writer of A Dog’s Purpose), A Dog’s Way Home centres on Bella (voiced by Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard) and follows her incredible journey to be reunited with her best friend and owner, Lucas (Jonah Hauer-King).
The film also features Ashley Judd, X-Men star Alexandra Shipp, and Blade Runner actor Edward James Olmos.
The clip discusses how the real-life dog who portrayed Bella was rescued before the film was shot, adding another inspiring and uplifting tale to the film’s production.
Bryce Dallas Howard also appears in the above clip with Bella and they make quite a pair!
Howard also revealed that the real-life Bella has found another heartwarming calling since the film finished its production and it is beyond cute!
The film is directed by Charles Martin Smith, best known for directing The Snow Walker, Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2.
Smith has also had an acting career, appearing in films such as American Graffiti, The Buddy Holly Story, Starman, The Untouchables, and Deep Impact.
Howard has also been busy, with a role as Elton John’s mother in the upcoming musical biopic Rocketman and a directing gig to follow in father Ron Howard’s footsteps on Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
Bryce will reprise her role as Claire Dearing in the third Jurassic World film in 2021.
A Dog’s Way Home is released in UK cinemas on January 25.
