'90 Day Fiancé': Angela Deem Mentions Going to the 'Courthouse' During the Tell All — Is She Still Married to Michael Ilesanmi?October 10, 2020
What would a Tell All be without some major drama? That’s certainly the case for season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi have only recently gotten married, and their future remains uncertain considering Michael is still in Nigeria. During the virtual Tell All, the couple brings the drama, but it really starts to heat up when Michael’s Aunt Lydia gets brought into the conversation.
The topic turns to having a child, and Michael says they have ‘options’
Angela and Michael have had concerns about having a child. Angela is 54, and was recently told by her doctor all the risks involved in trying to have a child at her age. They were hoping they could convince Angela’s daughter, Skyla, to donate an egg and possibly carry the child to term as well. However, Skyla isn’t having it, and insists even during the Tell All that Angela and Michael can’t have an egg.
Michael says that if Skyla “refuses” to donate an egg to the cause, they can have a surrogate. He says they have “options,” but it doesn’t sound like he and Angela are on the same page.
“You’re not getting the reality of trying to have this baby,” Angela tells him. “You think I’m gonna let someone tote your sperm and an egg of our baby. I’ll probably be the type of mother to move her in, then I gotta watch you with her, because you’re young and you might get an erection. She walks around in her damn nightgown.”
Michael’s Aunt Lydia gets brought into the conversation
Aunt Lydia gets involved in the conversation, and even pleads with Skyla on their behalf, but Skyla still isn’t budging. But based on Angela’s next comment, she seems unsure of having a child.
“I’m starting to rethink, because it’s more like it’s for Michael and not for us,” Angela says. “You know, even if Skyla would give us her egg, I don’t think Michael understands how much money… Like hundreds of thousands of dollars for IVF.”
Michael says that when he gets to the United States, he doesn’t mind to work his a** off.” But Angela questions her husband, and says it could mean working until she’s 60 “and then we wasted all that time and all that money,” she says. She also adds that they didn’t get together to have babies.
Lydia admits that they went ahead with the marriage because they thought Angela could still “give” Michael a child.
The host, Shaun Robinson, asks Lydia if she thinks the couple should get divorced, and she says, “Not if Angela can allow him to get a child from another woman.”
Michael agrees, and says, “Yeah, that’s what I am saying. We would get a child the other way.”
This really sets Angela off, and she bangs on her computer with her hands, which makes the screen shift backwards.
“You always talk brave in front of Lydia,” Angela tells her husband. “You’re not gonna sit there and screw another woman and think I’m gonna take care of that youngin’. Oh hell to the no.”
Michael responds by saying he isn’t going to “screw another woman.”
Angela mentions going to the ‘courthouse’ – Is she still married to Michael?
Lydia and Angela end up going at it when Angela gets upset that Michael is pointing at the computer screen at her. She even tells him to shut his mouth, and Lydia tells her not to tell him to “shut his mouth.” Angela proceeds to tell Lydia to shut her own mouth instead.
Then the word “submissive” gets brought up when Lydia tells her she should be that way. Obviously, Angela isn’t going to fly with that. Things get tense between the two, and Angela even says, “I don’t got to do s*** because I’m an American, and I’m gonna do what the hell I want to do,” Angela explains.
Angela gets so upset that she walks away from the computer. Eventually, she returns, and insists that she won’t be submissive. She also tells Michael that he’s “two people.” She says around Michael’s mother and herself he’s the man she “fell in love with.” But then around his other family she says he’s trying to be a “bold” man. She tells him to make his choice, because that’s not who she wants to be with.
“If you’re gonna be an alpha male, sign the f****** divorce paper already,” Angela tells him. Michael tells his wife to “stop saying that.”
Shaun asks Angela where she goes from here, and Angela doesn’t hold back. “To the courthouse,” she bluntly states.
Michael says he isn’t a “fan of divorce.”
“Well, if I’m going to keep being harassed about it,” Angela says. “I’m too old to be worrying about it. I should be enjoying my life. And that’s the problem I think, you know, with me and Michael. Now you can’t change nobody that don’t want to change, and I don’t want to and I’m not going to.”
Are Angela and Michael still together? According to the couple’s shared Instagram, it looks like they’re still together despite the chaos at the Tell All. They recently posted pictures of the wedding and reception together, so it looks like the couple is still making things work right now. Can they stay together long-term though? They’ll need to get on the same page about a number of issues if they’re going to prosper together.
We’ll have to see what the future holds for Angela and Michael as time goes on. Hopefully this isn’t the last we’ve seen of them.
