YAYA TOURE returned to Manchester City wearing an outrageous t-shirt that cost more than £400.

The Ivorian midfielder, who was close to leaving City this summer, joined the rest of the first-team squad at the City Football Academy ahead of their global tour.


Pep Guardiola's team head out on a long tour that seems that travel out to the US before heading back to Iceland for a friendly with West Ham.

The club will depart for Texas at the end of the week, ahead of a derby against rivals Manchester United in Houston on July 20.

They they travel to Los Angeles for a game against Real Madrid on July 26, before facing Tottenham in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 29.

City then travel to Reykjavik, Iceland, to face West Ham.

Toure arrived in an odd combo of white, diamante encrusted t-shirt and red jogging bottoms.

The 34-year-old signed a one-year deal last month after agreeing to a pay cut – he had been linked with a move away from the Etihad after seven seasons and five major trophies.

Toure's Philipp Plein t-shirt costs an eye-watering £430… although it's currently on sale for a reasonable £301.

The midfielder, who has played 299 matches for City and become a regular for Guardiola as the season went on, used some Manchester slang to announce his return from holiday.

On social media, he wrote: "Holidays are MINT.

"But looking forward to getting back to playing football.

"No football is BOBBINS."
