Wigan's Max Power takes steward's hat and throws it into stands during hilarious goal celebration
April 11, 2022WIGAN ATHLETIC ace Max Power rounded off a hilarious goal celebration by nicking a stewards hat before launching it into the crowd.
The away end at the LNER Stadium erupted when Wigan scored during their 3-1 win over Lincoln City on Saturday.
Power, along with a few of his teammates, decided to join the team's fans in their raucous celebrations after the goal which amped up the supporters even more.
At one point it seemed as though some supporters were about to rush onto the pitch to revel in the moment with Wigan's players – prompting the stewards to rush over to contain the situation.
And one steward's desire to sustain order resulted in him losing his hat for the rest of the game when Power crept behind him and threw it into the pit of amused Wigan supporters.
The clip was subsequently shared on Twitter and users had plenty to say about the midfielder's actions.
