Whyte signed his deal just hours before the deadline with the fight likely to take place on April 23 at Wembley Stadium.

The 'Bodysnatcher' holds the WBC interim title after knocking out Alexander Povetkin in last year's rematch.

The 33-year-old has waited years for a shot at the world title as the WBC's number-one-ranked contender.

But he's a serious underdog and Betfair have priced him at 4/1 to cause a massive upset.

It's an 80-20 split with Fury expected to receive around £20million of the purse and Whyte the remaining £5.6m.

There is also a further guaranteed £3.1m for the winner of the heavyweight contest.

Unbeaten Fury, 33, is available at 11/10 to win via points or decision, and is 5/4 to win via KO or TKO.

Whyte, meanwhile, is offered at 5/1 to by KO/TKO and a massive 17/1 for a points or decision victory.

Fury took to social media today after the announcement, he said: "Oh my God. Dillian Whyte's signed his contract for $8m. What a surprise!

"An absolute idiot. Should this even be a talking point? The man signed, for the biggest pay-day he's ever going to get in his life."

He added in a sarcastic American accent: "Oh my God, my head hurts from all the mind-games that Dillian Whyte's been playing on me. Oh my God. I'm so sore.

"I don't know whether I'm coming or going. My training camp's a mess."

In another post, Fury said: "I'm going to absolutely bust Dillian Whyte like a cheap f water balloon.

"And then when I'm finished with him, Joe Parker is going to set upon him, because you're useless, you big dosser. You useless sausage!"
