Tyson Fury linked with sensational WWE return to fight Logan Paul or Drew McIntyre at Clash of the Castle in Wales | The Sun

TYSON FURY is reportedly eyeing up a return to the WWE to face either Logan Paul or Drew McIntyre.

The Gypsy King, 33, was last seen in a boxing ring back in April when he knocked out Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium to retain his WBC heavyweight title.

After the victory, he confirmed he was hanging up his gloves despite fight fans wanting him to face the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

But it appears his in-ring appearances are not over in the wrestling world.

And the WWE are now hoping they can lure boxing champion Fury and internet sensation Paul into a clash on September 3.

Journalist Dave Meltzer said in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter: “It originally was an idea to try and make McIntyre more mainstream and garner publicity for him outside of wrestling.

“Without McIntyre, the question would be who would he [Fury] face.

"It would be a risk since both don’t have much experience, but given that Jake Paul and Tommy Fury [Tyson’s brother] have been linked of late for a fight, Logan Paul would have a storyline to it.

“It’s a real-life one but not necessarily one that a lot of wrestling fans would know, but they could tell it.

“There is a size difference and credibility in fighting difference, but pretty much anyone Fury would fight in WWE besides the few guys who are McIntyre’s size would have that.

“Within the company, the belief was Fury wants to do it, but the price would be high and the question is whether WWE believes the price is worth it”

Fury made his WWE debut at the Crown Jewel event in 2019 when he beat Braun Strowman.

He then returned to boxing, beating Deontay Wilder twice and then Whyte.

And he has recently declared his interest in a return to WWE following his supposed retirement from boxing – having trash talked McIntyre for some time.

Meanwhile, Paul lost his first pro boxing bout to fellow YouTube star KSI back in 2019.

He then competed in an eight-round exhibition with Floyd Mayweather last summer.

Logan's brother Jake looked set to take on Tyson's brother Tommy in New York on August 6.

But Tommy withdrew from the contest due to visa issues, with Jake now scheduled to take on Hasim Rahman Jr.
