He has been tackling some pretty stiff company this season and this race lacks the depth of his most recent outing at Haydock.
This trip is ideal and he’s had a little nudge down the weights.
Each way thief
MANOFTHEMOMENT (1.15 Southwell)
Southwell tends to be a horses for courses track and this seven-year-old has run well on both visits.
He scored off 6lb lower than third before a good second from a higher mark last time. This trip is fine and he should be on the premises.
BLACK LABEL (3.40 Carlisle)
Barbara Butterworth runs this 10-year-old for the first time after his arrival from Ireland.
He had some decent form there including a Bellewstown victory on his most recent run. There’s a long absence to overcome but he has enough quality to figure.
Don't forget, SunSport tipster Templegate has given a verdict on every race on Monday.
12.30 Word Has It (nb)
In good form and this looks easier than his third last time.
1.00 Theme Tune
Impressive debut hurdles win at Ludlow last time out.
1.35 Scottish Accent (treble)
Did well on his first two chases and should go close.
2.10 Eternally Yours
Beaten on the nod at Aintree in a race that is working out well.
2.40 Chapel Stile
Will be much happier going back over fences today.
3.10 Lets Sway
Improved effort when third at Sedgefield last time out.
3.40 Honda Fifty
Dropping in class after fair fifth at Musselburgh latest.
4.10 Fame And Hope
Went close at Catterick last time and looks on fair mark.
Going close in similar races and should be right there again.
1.45 Diese Des Bieffes
In fine form over hurdles and unlucky on chase debut.
2.20 Sending Love
Taking a big drop in class from Grade 2 level here.
2.50 Fortunes Melody
Classy form in France should be too good for these.
3.20 Poppa Poutine
Good win here in December and not disgraced at Ascot latest.
3.50 Can You Call
Good bumper horse showing lots of promise over hurdles.
Good second off similar weight on last hurdles outing.
4.40 Papas Girl
Ran well in much better race at Kempton last time out.
Consistent and another good effort at Kempton latest.
Has improved on past two starts and yard going well.
6.10 Revolutionary Man (NAP)
Has won better races and Adam Kirby takes over from claimer.
6.40 Al Rasmah
Has had wind op and needed the run at Newcastle last time.
5lb rise for winning here last time looks fair enough.
7.40 Hectors Here
Impressive here last time and penalty won’t stop him.
