CHRISTIAN PULISIC is said to be considering asking for a loan move away from Chelsea if he is not given more opportunities soon.

Pulisic has found himself falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge just three months after completing his £58million move from Borussia Dortmund.

The 21-year-old has been an unused sub in the last three Premier League matches – and hasn't been seen in top flight action since August.

Now the Mail say the American is open to the prospect of moving elsewhere in January if Frank Lampard continues to overlook him in his Chelsea plans.

They say Pulis is still keen to knuckle down and try to prove he can be a success in the Premier League.

But if nothing changes between now and when the mid-season transfer window opens, he will consider his options.

Pulisic made a bright impression during pre-season – the one new face coming into the Blues squad during the summer.

The wide man had completed his move from the Bundesliga last January, before the Fifa transfer ban was enforced on the club.

And having earned the trust of Lampard by playing well in the friendlies, Pulisic was a regular name on the team-sheet when during the first month of the campaign.

But since then he has gradually fallen further out of favour of the manager, with veterans Pedro and Willian both gaining his trust more in the league matches.

Lampard has even used Mason Mount on the left side of an attacking three ahead of him – and his path to a chance has got even harder now Callum Hudson-Odoi is back from injury.

Hudson-Odoi, Willian and Pedro are all ahead of him in the pecking order when it comes to Lampard's best team, with the manager believing he needs time to adjust to the demands of the English game.

But having seen his final year at Dortmund frustrated by not being first choice, it appears Pulisic is again having to come to terms with few opportunities at his new club.

Lampard said: "I spoke to him two days before the Grimsby game and was very clear about the standards and we have to give him the fact that he’s moved country and moved leagues.

"He’s as young as all the young players we keep talking about. He’s just turned 21. So I think everyone, if anyone is getting too excited about this they should calm down because he’s started five games for us.

"What he needs to do is work, work daily, work to show within the group that he deserves to play. As they all do, as all the players do. That’s what the focus on everyone is."
