Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley learns playoff fate on tarmac

The only real drama Sunday about which teams would play for college football's national championship was the identity of the No. 4 seed.

Oklahoma, Georgia and Ohio State were all candidates to face top-ranked Alabama in one national semifinal. 

When Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley received word his Big 12 champion Sooners had earned the final spot in the College Football Playoff, he wasn't just sitting around waiting for the announcement. He was getting ready to go on a recruiting visit.

Riley posted a quick message to OU fans on Twitter as he and a pair of his assistant coaches were preparing for takeoff: "Boomer Sooner!"
