MINO RAIOLA put his rivalry with Manchester United aside to defend Ed Woodward following the attack on his house.

Yob supporters threw fireworks and a smoke bomb at the United executive vice-chairman's home on Tuesday night.

The gang of around 20 congregated outside and rang an intercom on large gates at the entrance to the sprawling property.

Woodward, his wife Isabelle and their twin six-year-old girls are not believed to have been home during the incident, which is being investigated by police.

And when no one answered, they sprayed red paint over it and launched a red smoke bomb into the grounds before aiming a firework at the house.

Super-agent Raiola, who has Paul Pogba on his star-studded list of clientele, blasted the Old Trafford club for being more concerned with money than performances in December.

But he insisted he is "100 per cent with Ed" – who has been targeted with vile chants at recent United games – following the senseless vandalism.

In a passionate Instagram post alongside a photo from the attack, Raiola said: "What happened last night is not normal. It is violence and I condemn any type of violence.

"These guys are morons and this is criminal behaviour.

These people need to be locked up and re-educated. This cannot be part of sport. This is sport — S P O R T. This is not a question of life and death, it is EN-TER-TAIN-MENT.

"Do you think people attack the house of Brad Pitt if he makes a bad movie? Or does Quentin Tarantino get death threats because his film was not good? There is no reason or excuse, none whatsoever for this and Ed Woodward has my full support and solidarity.

"I totally disapprove, I am with Ed Woodward — I’m on his side in this.

"This cannot be happening to a man — going to his private house and menacing him and his family. Are we totally crazy? Football is not that important in life.⠀
