Man Utd star complains about attitude of team-mate Marcus Rashford, with forward no longer ‘the humble figure he was’
April 24, 2019AN UNNAMED Manchester United star has apparently moaned about Marcus Rashford being too big for his boots.
According to The Independent, one of the striker's team-mates thinks he is "not quite the humble figure he used to be".
Rashford, 21, scored six goals in ten games after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as United boss in December.
Solskjaer said in January: "No-one beats him on work-rate. No-one beats him on attitude."
But the youngster's form has slumped since and Gary Neville fears "something is not right".
He said: "Marcus Rashford, this couple of weeks, has been nowhere near [his best].
"I went to both Barcelona games. Marcus looks off it at the moment. Whether he’s carrying an injury, something’s not right, or the season has caught up with him."
SLUMP IN FORM
Rashford, who is on a four-game goal drought in all competitions, is stalling on a new deal amid interest from Barcelona.
He reportedly wants £200,000 a week and reassurances over his position at the club in order to consider committing his future to United.
SunSport revealed some United stars reckon English players have been given special treatment over contracts this season.
The atmosphere at Old Trafford has soured both on and off the pitch in recent weeks.
A disastrous run of six losses in eight – capped off by Sunday's 4-0 mauling at Everton – has dealt Solskjaer a huge blow in his quest to qualify for the Champions League.
