Man Utd risk losing Joachim Andersen to Tottenham or Inter with club set to wait until summer to move for Sampdoria starJanuary 10, 2019
The Red Devils have been tracking the highly-rated Sampdoria ace and have sent scouts to watch him compete in Serie A.
Interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to sign a new centre-back this month with concerns at the amount of goals they have shipped this season.
Andersen, 22, is also thought to be interested in moving abroad this month.
But according to the Manchester Evening News, any deal appears unlikely with United prepared to wait until they solve their own managerial conundrum.
And that leaves the risk of both Inter Milan and Tottenham stealing a march to secure his signature.
Both clubs are looking at launching offers for the Denmark ace.
United have other defensive targets in mind including Dutch sensation Matthijs De Ligt.
And with interest in his signature hotting up, Ajax legend John van Loen believes it is a match made in heaven.
He said: "I think Manchester United is perfect for De Ligt.
“I hope De Ligt rejects Juventus’ offer – Italian football does not suit him and the Premier League is much better and stronger.”
United are also keeping tabs on Kostas Manolas, Harry Maguire and Kalidou Koulibaly.
