Man City close in on £6million USA goalkeeper Zack Steffen set to go out on loanDecember 8, 2018
The USA shot-stopper currently plays for Columbus Crew in the MLS.
But Pep Guardiola's side are closing in on bringing him to the Premier League – but only temporarily.
According to the Daily Mail, a work permit may not be awarded to the 23-year-old keeper which may see him leave on loan.
Potential destinations include Patrick Vieira's Nice and sister club Girona.
Negotiations between City and Columbus include add-ons that would see the deal rise to £10m.
Steffen has nailed down the No1 spot for the USA men's national team in recent weeks.
Guardiola, meanwhile, has been preparing for his team's visit to Stamford Bridge this evening.
