Liverpool's Salah on course to break Arsenal icon Henry's amazing run of goal involvements after scoring against ChelseaJanuary 3, 2022
LIVERPOOL striker Mo Salah is firmly on track to break Arsenal legend Thierry Henry's incredible Premier League goals and assists record.
The Egyptian King's superb close range effort at Stamford Bridge last night took his tally for the season to an impressive 16 goals and nine assists in 20 games.
The strike meant he has now been directly involved in 25+ goals for five consecutive seasons, a record matched only by Thierry Henry.
The 44-year-old Frenchman contributed 25+ goal involvements for seven consecutive seasons between 1999-2000 and 2005-06.
And Salah's unbelievable form this season has left him top of the goalscoring leaderboards, ahead of teammate Diogo Jota on ten goals.
And if Salah is able to continue scoring at his current rate for the remainder of the season, he'll undoubtedly bag his third Premier League Golden Boot award.
His most prolific campaign was 2017-18 with 32 goals, the most by any Premier League player in a season since Alan Shearer scored 34 in 1994-95.
England striker Harry Kane won the award last year with 23 goals and became only the third player to win three Premier League Golden Boot awards.

The other two players to have reached this feat are Alan Shearer, who won three consecutive awards between 1994-95 and 1996-97, and Thierry Henry.
Henry holds the record with the most Premier League Golden Boot awards with four, having won it for three consecutive years between 2003-04 and 2005-06.
And Salah will join this elite club of Premier League goalscorers if he is able to secure a third Golden Boot, but there are fears it could be his last.
