Leeds strike deal with fans group to get investment in Elland Road
December 22, 2018The Championship side have agreed “Head of Terms” with Leeds Fans Utd.
And the deal is designed to introduce “supporter investment into the club”.
A statement from the Yorkshire promotion contenders confirmed the move today.
It read: “The aim of the investment will be to help fund a new training facility and sports village.
“The investment will secure a new special class of shares ensuring supporters who commit will have a voice in key heritage decisions.”
Back in 2015 former chairman Massimo Cellino agreed in principle to sell a majority stake in the club to Leeds Fans Utd.
But talks broke down between the two parties as the deal failed to materialise.

Cellino instead sold his stake in the Elland Road outfit to Italian Andrea Radrizzani.
Now they are set to follow fellow EFL sides such as Swansea, Wimbledon, Bury, Newport and Wycombe in selling shares to a supporters trust.
