How Man Utd could line up after Rangnick's January transfer spree with Haaland, Haidara and Trippier linked with moves

December 28, 2021

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly making moves for Erling Haaland, Amadou Haidara and Kieran Trippier as Ralf Rangnick looks to overhaul his struggling squad.

And if United manage to land all three, it would mean United fans, still smarting after the drab 1-1 draw at Newcastle, can expect to see an exciting new XI lining up at Old Trafford in 2022.

Haaland, 21, would add firepower up front for the side, whilst Trippier, 31, would suit Rangnick's pressing style.

Meanwhile Haidara, 23, would add support in the defensive midfield position, breaking up the infamous 'McFred' partnership of Fred and Scott McTominey.

The Europa league runners-up are reportedly 'serious' in bidding for Erling Haaland.

But qualification for next season's Champions League could remain a sticking point in negotiations as Haaland insists on playing in football's premier club competition.

However, they do have an edge over other clubs when it comes to their pursuit of Haaland because of Rangnick's relationship with the striker.

The German coach helped facilitate his move from Molde to RB Salzburg.

Haaland is strongly expected to be leaving in January and appeared to signal his Borussia Dortmund exit by WAVING goodbye to fans.

The Norway international is one of European football’s most wanted men with a raft of heavyweight clubs eyeing his signature.

Incredibly, The 21-year-old has scored 76 goals in 75 appearances for Dortmund.

That scoring record would be welcomed in Manchester as United have only scored 27 league goals so far this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the team in scoring with 13 goals in all competitions but is lacking in support.

Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood both trail Ronaldo with just five.

Meanwhile, Amadou Haidara, has been heavily linked with the club in a reunion between him and Rangnick.

The two were together at RB Leipzig and United need only meet his £33m release clause to claim him.

The Mali international has previously said he would love the opportunity to play for the Red Devils.

In 2019 he told German newspaper Bild: “I like Manchester United very much and watch as many games as possible. I dream of playing there.”

Kieran Trippier has a £50m release clause if Man Utd are prepared to pay it.

The 31-year-old’s high energy would fit well into new boss Ralf Rangnick’s ultra-pressing style.

Sources say that NINE Premier league clubs are interested in bringing the right-back home to England.

But it is believed the Atletico Madrid defender would prefer a move to the red half of Manchester if United are still interested.
