Horse racing tips: This longshot at Lingfield in the first race back with fans can start Wednesday with a bangDecember 1, 2020
SUN Racing is back to give you some insight on big horses at even bigger prices.
Here, we try to find the value bets which could net you a tasty return from a small stake.
KING ATHELSTAN (11.30 Lingfield)
Gary Moore’s five-year-old looked very much in need of his comeback from four months off when midfield here last time.
He has plenty of decent form at the track including when winning over this trip last December. His mark is just 2lb higher than that today and he should go well under all-weather king Adam Kirby.
Each way thief
BARRINGTON (2.45 Lingfield)
Has held his own at a higher level than this and is interesting upped in distance for this comeback.
The last time he tackled seven furlongs was at Chepstow in July when he was a solid third.
A repeat of that form under Cieren Fallon should see him in the mix.
ELMEJOR (7.30 Kempton)
The booking of Silvestre De Sousa takes the eye on his four-year-old who is coming nicely down the weights.
He was going close in much stronger contests than this earlier this year and will appreciate stepping back up to a mile today.
Aside from these, SunSport resident tipster Templegate has picked a horse in each race on Wednesday.
11.30 Mistress Nellie
In good form this year and can take this open contest.
12.00 Make It Rain
Won despite a dodgy draw here last time out.
12.35 Mystical Air
Well backed before fair effort on debut at Newcastle.
Finished well when third at Chelmsford last time out.
1.40 Fox Duty Free
Came good over course and distance latest.
2.10 Cuban Cigar
Showed some promise when fifth at Kempton over a mile.
Made it three in a row last time and every chance of fourth win.
3.20 Rochester House
Won at Ascot latest and capable of seeing these off.
Had a fair bit in hand when winning at Hexham last time.
12.45 Torn And Frayed
Needed his comeback at Aintree and should be spot on.
1.15 Espoir De Romay (nb)
Solid win on chase debut and much more to come.
Impressive debut success at Market Rasen and should improve.
Won one of these veterans’ races last time out.
2.55 Goobinator (treble)
Battled well to score in the mud at Ayr latest.
Well bred and Brian Hughes rides him instead of McCain horse.
Went close in a similar contest at Leicester 16 days ago.
12.55 Miss Gemstone
Good second on chase debut and has much more to come.
French import who has been in good form on the Flat.
Winner for Willie Mullins and looked his old self at Ascot latest.
2.35 Champagne Well
Has been knocking on the door and likes trip and track.
3.10 Mr Washington
Looking for a hat-trick off same mark as last victory.
3.45 Ask The Lady
Has plenty of experience from pointing and yard in form.
5.00 Eastern Delight
Improving with every run and close second at Lingfield latest.
5.30 RAZOR GLASS (NAP)
Plenty in hand when scoring over course and distance last time.
6.00 Typhoon Ten
Goes well here and another solid third last time out.
6.30 Johnny Drama
Likes it here and capable of striking in this good company.
7.00 Lord Halifax
Won this last year and back after a wind op with Atzeni on board.
7.30 Delicate Kiss
Up just 2lb for winning nicely at Lingfield last time out.
Down the weights and showed some promise at Lingfield latest.
8.30 Run After Genesis
Has run well over this course and distance before.
