Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles 'OUT of World Cup 2022 after Brazil's Arsenal and Man Utd stars suffer injuries' | The Sun
December 3, 2022BRAZIL pair Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus have been ruled OUT of the World Cup, according to reports.
The Arsenal star suffered a knee injury against Cameroon, while the Manchester United also hobbled off in the 1-0 defeat.
Telles was withdrawn early in the second period on Friday, 10 minutes before the Arsenal man came off.
With the Samba Boys already assured of their place in the last-16, Tite rung the changes and handed both their first starts of the tournament.
But it proved a costly night for the five-time winners, who not only suffered their first group stage defeat for 24 years, but lost two players.
That's because, according to Brazilian outlet Globo, the pair will play no further part in Qatar.

Jesus is expected to miss around one month, which immediately puts him in a race against time to be fit for Arsenal's Boxing Day clash with West Ham.
The report claims that Jesus has been playing through pain for his club, but not enough to stop him from going to the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Telles' case is thought to be more serious.
