Fans can't believe former Premier League star and 'absolute baller' is playing in League Two after goal of 'pure filth' | The Sun
July 26, 2023FANS can’t believe there’s a former Premier League star and “absolute baller” playing in League Two.
That’s after he netted a goal of “pure filth” in a pre-season friendly.
David McGoldrick, 35, enjoyed two seasons in the top flight with Sheffield United after cutting his teeth as a Championship striker.
But after netting 25 times for League One outfit Derby last term, McGoldrick now finds himself back at boyhood club Notts County in League Two.
The former Republic of Ireland international played just four times for the historic side before joining Southampton in 2004.
He initially returned for an unsuccessful loan spell for the 2005/06 season, failing to score in seven outings.
