Fans bring flares to 5am training session as amateur side get round strict Covid lockdown rules in HollandDecember 2, 2021
FANS of amateur team Quick Boys turned up at a 5am training session with FLARES and FIREWORKS.
The third tier side have adopted a bizarre training schedule amid the Netherlands' latest lockdown measure.
Prime Minister Mark Rutte introduced a snap three-week 8pm curfew on November 12.
And with Quick Boys' players having other day jobs, their usual evening training slots were compromised.
Not all players would have the ability to make it from work in time to complete a full session before heading home for 8pm.
So manager Edwin Grunholz found a solution… by making them train before work.
Players have been turning up at their Nieuw Zuid Stadium home for 5am sessions – the time that curfew ends.
And in stunning images, they were recently joined by their fans.

Supporters turned up in their droves to a session, armed with dazzling flares and fireworks.
Quick Boys shared a remarkable video of the scene to their 8,900 Twitter followers.
They wrote: "LOVE | Where the green field awaits us, where supporters are standing…
"Also at the training at 5:00 in the morning! Mega, boys!"
Quick Boys are currently tenth in the 18-team Tweede Divisie in the Netherlands.
They lost 3-1 to Sparta II in their last outing, although picked up four points from their two prior home games.
