Prominent syndicator Wylie Dalziel has told owners they have begun moving several Darren Weir-trained horses to the Pakenham stables of Phillip Stokes.

Among the horses already moved is Indiscretion, who was a scratched by order of the stewards from Moonee Valley on Friday night.

Ciaron Maher and David Eustace are anticipating a significant influx of horses with Derby winner Extra Brut expected to be the most prominent.

Racing Victoria's head of integrity Jamie Stier told RSN on Saturday that trainers who received horses from the Weir or Jarrod McLean stables would be able to trial their horses on Monday.

Weir and McLean both sent notes to owners on Friday night saying they would continue their operations as normal ahead of Monday's show cause hearing, with McLean adamant he would contest the charge of being in possession of an electronic device.

The remaining Weir and McLean horses could also participate in jump-outs at Terang on Monday.

With 600 horses under Weir and McLean's care and the show cause hearing yet to finish, some owners are sitting tight.

However with the first group 1 of the autumn carnival to be run next Saturday, most owners and syndicators are taking a pragmatic view as they can't afford to have their horse's preparation interrupted significantly.
