JADON SANCHO has set his sights on winning the Ballon d’Or and realising a “dream”.

The 18-year-old has starred for Borussia Dortmund this season bagging nine goals and 17 assists in 35 appearances.

Sancho’s form has also earned him call ups in Gareth Southgate’s England set up, and the ex-Man City ace told Goal he hopes to one day win the coveted Ballon d’Or.

Sancho said: "I feel like that should be every player’s goal.

"Obviously, I dream of winning the Ballon d’Or, given the likes of those who have won it previously, like Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, [Luka] Modric and Ronaldinho.

"All these greats have won it, so I feel like that should be a big inspiration to everyone in the world that plays football."

Dortmund are currently level on points with current Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, trailing only on goal difference.

The winger has played in every one of Dortmund's 26 league games, and with eight goals and 15 assists the England ace has attracted attention from Man United.

SunSport understand a right-winger is top of interim United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wishlist – with Sancho their No1 target.

Solskjaer is willing to spend all of his £80million transfer budget on Sancho, who spent two seasons in the blue half of Manchester.

United are also monitoring Juventus' Douglas Costa and are long-term admirers of Inter Milan wide man Ivan Perisic, who regularly plays on the left flank but is comfortable on both wings.
