David Beckham 'dreams of reuniting Lionel Messi with three Barcelona legends at Inter Miami'
March 29, 2022DAVID BECKHAM is reportedly plotting an ambitious plan to bring Lionel Messi to Inter Miami – along with three of his former Barcelona team-mates.
Beckham, 46, wants to "take the MLS to another level" both on and off the pitch by signing four world stars in the next two years.
Mundo Deportivo claim the Manchester United legend is desperate to recruit the spine of Barcelona's 2014-15 treble winning team.
Inter Miami have been linked with Messi before, and Beckham wants to snap up the 34-year-old upon the expiry of his Paris Saint-Germain contract.
Messi's current deal runs out at the end of next season, although he does have the option to stay on for an extra year.
But Beckham is hoping to capitalise after Messi was jeered by PSG fans following the Champions League defeat to Real Madrid earlier this month.

Although the first step in Beckham's elaborate plan is to sign Messi's old Barca team-mate Luis Suarez, 35, this summer.
Suarez's Atletico Madrid contract expires at the end of the current campaign, with the former Liverpool man unlikely to extend his stay in the Spanish capital.
Then Beckham hopes Suarez will be joined by both Messi and Sergio Busquets at the end of next season.
Busquets is out of contract at Barcelona in the summer of 2023, with Beckham hoping to lure the 33-year-old midfielder to Miami to see out the final years of his career alongside Messi.

And the final piece of Beckham's puzzle is Jordi Alba, 33, – with his Barcelona deal running out at the end of the 2024 campaign.
The quartet enjoyed huge success together at Barca, all playing alongside each other for SIX years and lifting the Champions League in 2015.
And despite all being in the twilight of their careers, Beckham is claimed to want to "build a project" around them in Miami.
Beckham's Inter Miami co-owner confirmed the club's interest in the superstar last month.
Jorge Mas said on the possibility of a move: "I think, and David has a relationship with him, if he does leave PSG, at the time he leaves it, we’d love to see Lionel Messi be a player at Inter Miami and be part of our community.
"Can it happen? Look, we’ll push. I’m an optimist at heart. Could I see that happening? It’s a possibility."
