Cristiano Ronaldo 'can leave Al-Nassr for Champions League football' as Portugal star agrees huge clause after transfer | The Sun
January 4, 2023CRISTIANO RONALDO will be given the chance to leave Al-Nassr and return to Europe if a suitable offer is received in future, according to reports.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner became the highest-paid sportsperson of all time when he signed a lucrative £173million-a-week contract with the Saudi Pro League club last week.
He was officially unveiled as an Al-Nassr player on Tuesday in front of thousands of fans at Mrsool Park, where he also took part in his first training session.
But although he is yet to make his debut in Riyadh, Ronaldo already has a contract clause in place which states that he will be free to LEAVE if any club in the Champions League submit an offer.
According to football journalist Ben Jacobs, the clause is player-triggered which gives the former Manchester United star the freedom to speak to European clubs.
But, despite the huge clause in his contract, Ronaldo has already insisted that he "broke all the records" in Europe.
