Boxer Billy Joe Saunders posts Instagram story about losing £22k in casino

BILLY Joe Saunders and his friends were “wiped out” at the casino last night – after losing £22,000 in one session.

The boxer – who was stripped of his WBO middleweight belt following a doping scandal – filmed the group after their huge loss.

They all looked dejected after playing blackjack and Saunders, 29, quizzed his pals about how they felt about the dealer taking their cash.

He later suggested the group had lost “22 bags” – a slang term meaning “bag of sand, grand” – as they were off to “reload” to try and win some of their money back.

One of his friends lost “13 bags” while another one of his pals left empty handed following the unsuccessful trip to the casino.

He later posted a picture of two drinks for his 275,000 followers to see and wrote: “I need this after tonight.”

Just two hours earlier he posted a video of him in a car and said: “Off casino f*** s*** up.”

He then filmed the group entering the casino floor which huge smiles on their faces as they laughed while walking out of the lift.

But then moments later he looked glum and said: “So, we didn’t f*** s*** up, it f***** us up.”

He then recorded another video and wrote: “Gang lost but we still alive.”

He added: “So the casino wiped us out completely, wiped us up out bad – bad.

“We’re going back to reload to go back with a vengeance.”

His mate then jokingly asked “have we still got £20 for a kebab” and Saunders replied “yeah” before referring to the “22 bags”.

Saunders was stripped of his WBO world middleweight title after the performance-enhancing stimulant oxilofrine was found in his system.

He was set to make his title defence against Demetrius Andrade at Boston's TD Garden but the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission refused the Hatfield boxer of a licence to fight this weekend.

It comes after Saunders was found guilty of misconduct and charged £100,000 by the BBBoC after telling a woman to perform a sex act in exchange for drugs.

The British boxer was caught on camera taunting the woman and telling her to punch a stranger – but claimed it was just "banter".

He was also caught on camera apparently pretending to be a policeman and forcing a man to strip naked in his car.

The Sun Online has contacted Saunders’ representatives for comment.
