Bayern Munich chiefs jet into London AGAIN for fresh Harry Kane talks after Tottenham chief was told he must sell star | The Sun

July 27, 2023

BAYERN MUNICH bosses fly into London on Friday in a bid to secure a perfect birthday present for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

The Germans are set to meet Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in an attempt to bag the England’s captain, who turns 30 on Friday.

Bayern are likely to offer Tottenham around £86million but Spurs are holding out for £100m.

Chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe, who stayed in Germany while Bayern went on their Far East tour, are aiming to convince Levy to finally sell.

The Bundesliga giants have had £60m and £70m offers rejected so far.

Earlier this week, Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel said: "They are doing something it is necessary to do in Europe to support us."

Manchester United remain interested in Kane but Levy has always insisted he did not want to sell to a rival Premier League club.

Kane has made it clear he is keen on the move to Bayern.

His father Pat and brother Charlie, who both look after his interests, have impressed the Germans with the way they have handled the delicate situation.

Although the Three Lions star has made it clear he will not sign a new deal this summer, Levy has still not lost out hope that if Kane stays on for next season he may agree an extension down the line.

Earlier this week, Bayern made their interest in Kane known after president Herbert Hainer described him as an "attractive player".

He told Kicker: "Bayern always try to bring in stars. Harry Kane is a highly attractive player.

"The England captain and a top scorer. He would do us and the Bundesliga good."

Bayern chiefs initially flew to England for talks two weeks ago but have been unable to get a deal done.

Levy is standing firm in his negotiations amid reports Bayern want to get the Kane transfer done in a matter of days.

Meanwhile, Lilywhites boss Ange Postecoglou had his say on the saga while on Spurs' pre-season tour.

He said: "Fair to say I am not relaxed about it.

"It's not something where you go: "Ah, well, you know if it does or doesn't happen.
