Arsenal boast NINE of the 10 youngest starting XIs in Prem this term as Arteta’s youthful revolution gathers momentumNovember 3, 2021
MIKEL ARTETA has fielded NINE out of ten youngest XIs in the Premier League this season.
The Gunners fielded their youngest two sides of their league campaign against Brighton and Norwich.
Arsenal came away with a win against Norwich and a draw at league high flyers Brighton with an average age of 24.1-years-old.
The four points helped propel the Gunners up the league table.
The only other team to field a younger side than the Gunners this season was Southampton in matchweek eight.
Ralph Hasenhuttl's team's average age in the 1-0 win against Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds came in at 24.9.
Summer arrivals from Chelsea Tino Livramento, 18, and Armando Broja, 20, helped keep it on the low side.
The Gunners haven't been beaten since matchweek three when they were comfortably beat by defending champions Manchester City.

Summer signing Aaron Ramsdale, 23, has played a key role in Arsenal's good form in recent weeks.
And Arteta thinks the money was well spent on the young goalkeeper.
Arteta said: "We invest money in talent and people we believe can be great for the future of the club.
"We made that decision based on that and Aaron has had some really encouraging performances, and today he had some incredible saves to maintain the clean sheet and he needs to continue to do that.
"In football you have to play 50 games for 20 years, and this is only the start."
