Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury betting odds: Fury odds-on favourite with deal signed for world heavyweight showdown

March 15, 2021

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Tyson Fury will FINALLY meet in the ring after signing a two-fight deal to unify the heavyweight titles.

Joshua will put his WBA, IBF and WBO belts on the line against the unbeaten WBC champion Fury in a historic fight with a date and venue still to be confirmed.

Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn said: "All parties have now put pen to paper and we will be working hard over the next few weeks to confirm the site and date for the biggest fight in boxing."

With the contracts signed, attention turns to how the all-British undisputed clash will play out.

And bookmakers Betfair believe the undefeated 'Gypsy King' will triumph at odds of 4/7.

That's despite Fury having been out of the ring for over a year since ending Deontay Wilder's five-year reign as WBC heavyweight world champion in Las Vegas.

The bookies are offering a Fury KO/TKO at 9/4 but the most likely method of victory is on points, priced at 15/8.

Joshua, whose only loss came against Andy Ruiz Jr in June 2019, is offered at 11/8 for the win or 5/2 via KO/TKO.

AJ rectified that defeat with a unanimous points victory in Saudi Arabia and most recently knocked out mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev in December.

Betfair Spokesperson, Sam Rosbottom said: "The fight the world has been waiting for has now been agreed, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will finally go toe-to-toe in the ring.

"Given Joshua's unexpected defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr, we make Tyson Fury the 4/7 favourite to win the fight, while the former Olympic Champion is 11/8 to be victorious.

"Looking at how the fight could go, Fury to win by knock out or technical knockout, something he has long claimed he will do to Joshua, is 9/4, while a Joshua win by knock out or technical knockout is 5/2."

Betfair are also offering odds on WHERE the fight will take place, but unfortunately it's not good news for UK punters.

Saudi Arabia is priced at 1/2 to host the contest while anywhere in the US is further back at 4/1 with the UK a 16/1 outsider.
