  • NOT RON THE WAY

But the Athletic have insisted that Salmon Rondon will not be making the move to Old Trafford.

They claim that the Red Devils are not interested in signing the Venezuelan international.

It is believed that they have other targets in mind.

  • RONBELIEVABLE

Salomon Rondon has emerged as a target to fill Manchester United's desperate need for a new striker.

Reports suggest the Dalian Yifang forward could be available for a loan deal amid China's ongoing coronavirus crisis.

The Chinese Super League has delayed the new season as the World Health Organisation considers declaring an international public health emergency.

United are desperate for a new striker with Marcus Rashford injured for a number of weeks and the team struggling for goals regardless.

And target man Rondon would add an extra element having scored 12 goals and set up a further seven for Newcastle last season.

  • SON OF A GUN

Edinson Cavani will reportedly snub deals to Man Utd, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid and stay at PSG.

According to L'Equipe, the Uruguayan striker has decided to remain at Les Parisiens.

It had been reported earlier today that David Beckham was interested in bringing him to his MLS side Inter Milan.

  • SPORTING BEHAVIOUR

Sporting have posted a thank you message on their Twitter for Bruno Fernandes, as their captain departs for Old Trafford.

  • STORM BRU-ING

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he has been chasing Bruno Fernandes for months after he finally manages to snare the playmaker away from Sporting Lisbon.

He said: “We have been tracking Bruno for many months and everyone here has been tremendously impressed with all his attributes and what he will bring to this team.

“Most importantly he is a terrific human being with a great personality and his leadership qualities are clear for all to see.

“Bruno’s goals and assists stats speak for themselves, he will be a fantastic addition to our team and he will help us push on in the second part of the season.

“The winter break is coming at a perfect time for us to integrate Bruno into the squad and for him to get to know his team-mates.”
