Check mate! Queen Maxima of The Netherland recycles a favourite plaid dress for the third time to attend a presentation on small businesses in The Hague

Queen Maxima brought some of her usual cheerfulness to a presentation on small and medium businesses at the Hague.
The Dutch queen, 51, was attending the event, held by the Netherlands Committee for Entrepreneurship, at Secrid, a company that designs wallets.
Showing-off her own thrifty side, the mother-of-three wore a dress that’s becoming a firm favourite.
She has been seen wearing the check dress at least three other times in recent years.

Stylish Maxima wore the dress – a Natan Couture Franka dress in plaid check – that is cinched at the waist with a wide belt.
The mid-length dress boasts long sleeves and an oversized bow at the collar.
The queen paired it with subtle brown boots and a small clutch bag, while adding dangling earrings for a bit of fun.
Her windswept shoulder-length locks were styled in a straight blow-dry, and she was sporting natural makeup and burgundy nail varnish.

She looked cheerful throughout the event held at Secrid, a company that designs wallets while putting socially responsibility first.
The Queen is known to have worn the outfit at least three other times.
The first occasion was in November 2020 when she visited the BovenIJ hospital in Amsterdam to keep up to date on the impact of the covid pandemic.
She also wore it in February this year on a visit to the !Woon Foundation which provides tenants and homeowners with advice.

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands found herself battling with an unruly umbrella as she was hit by strong winds in Amsterdam in February this year
At that event, strong gusts of winds blew her hair all over the place and turned her umbrella inside out – yet she still kept her good humour and composure.
She also wore the dress in March 2022 while making a digital speech at the Women, Business and the Law 2022 Launch in her role as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Inclusion for Development.
