Back to school! Princess Charlene of Monaco shares a sweet snap of her twins Jacques and Gabriella returning to class for 2019

Princess Charlene of Monaco has shared a sweet snap of her twins Jacques and Gabriella’s first day back at school.

The four-year-old twins looked adorable as they happily posed for the camera.

Gabriella wore a fluffy red coat, leggings and white trainers and clutched a pink satchel along with a cuddly unicorn toy. 

Jacques wore a padded jacket paired with jeans and carried a matching blue satchel to his sister.

Princess Charlene, 40, shared the picture on Instagram and captioned it ‘Back to School 2019’.

The proud mother, who shares the twins with her 60-year-old husband Print Albert II of Monaco, recently opened up about her twins in a rare interview about family life.

And it’s no surprise the pair are happily smiling for the camera.

She revealed how her ‘smart’ daughter Gabriella bounces out of bed to go to school on a Saturday – and is left disappointed when it’s closed.

She told French magazine, Point de Vue, according to People, ‘Gabriella even gets up even on Saturdays because she wants to go and is very disappointed when told that there is no school that day.’    

She said they feel ‘blessed’ to have two children who fill them with ‘love and happiness’, and are also ‘well behaved and kind’.

Although the siblings love education, they enjoy eating too many sweets and playtime as well.

Gabriella and Jacques were born two minutes apart on 10 December, 2014.

While Gabriella is actually older than her brother, he is heir to the throne due to succession laws in Monaco that give precedence to the first born son.

She added that her husband Prince Albert is ‘at his happiest’ when he’s spending time with their twins.
