MedicalNewsToday highlights that it is common for pregnant women to get UTIs but left untreated they can pose a serious health risk to the expectant mom and the developing fetus.

Brittany said following her diagnosis she was given a ‘bunch of medicines’ which ‘stopped everything’ and she was sent home several hours later.

She went on to give birth to a healthy baby girl.

The now mom-of-four uploaded her video of Charlie sensing her UTI on December 14.

The clip, captioned ‘I seriously don’t deserve him’, has since garnered more than 1,000 comments.

Many women shared similar stories, with creator @hann writing: ‘Mine woke me up at 5am, nudging my stomach and whining. I stood up and my water broke.’

And @Tamara commented: ‘My dog knew both times I was going into labor before I did. Dogs are amazing!’

TikToker @Extragreensauce highlighted that it’s not just pregnancies that dogs have a sixth sense about.

‘Doctor: What are you here for?

‘You: My dog told me to come in.’

Research carried out by Florida-based forensics expert Dr Kenneth Furton has found that dogs could be trained to recognize diseases with over 90 percent accuracy.

He helped pioneer a practice which saw local police in Bristol County, Massachusetts, use trained dogs to ‘sniff out’ COVID-19 in local schools, police stations, and other popular locations.

Similarly in the UK, Buckinghamshire-based charity Medical Detection Dogs has been training dogs to sniff out life-threatening diseases like cancer and Parkinson’s, since 2008 with great success.
