My friend keeps calling my husband to help her around the house | The Sun
February 9, 2023DEAR DEIDRE: DESPITE having a husband of her own, my friend keeps calling mine to help her with odd jobs around the house.
I feel consumed with jealousy and I don’t know how to tell her to stop without making things awkward.
I’m 35 and she’s 34. We’ve been friends for more than ten years.
Her husband isn’t very handy so she’s taken full advantage.
While I trust her, I can’t help but feel uncomfortable with her constantly having him around.
She never checks with me first, and it’s starting to rub me up the wrong way.
How do I tell her to stop?

DEIDRE SAYS: I am sorry to hear that your friend’s behaviour is making you feel insecure.
Talk to your husband and explain how you feel and that it would be best for him to stop helping as much.
He may well have been helping in the belief that it’s what you will have wanted.
He can easily start to make excuses as to why he isn’t available.
My support pack Looking After Your Relationship will help you communicate better together.
