I am a 36-year-old woman and my boyfriend is 38. He is moving in with me and my two children – boys aged eight and ten – next month.

But my brother is adamant. He says that he only wants people there he knows well.

He has met my partner a couple of times but due to their working hours there is never a good time to get together.

It’s not just him – the girlfriends of my two other brothers aren’t invited either.
