M&S shoppers joke chocolate tulips look like what ‘Ann Summers would produce’

Dirty-minded shoppers couldn’t stop laughing at Marks and Spencer’s “chocolate tulips” for Mother’s Day.

Many think the sweet treats, which are filled with salted caramel and strawberries and cream, look a lot ruder than intended.

One customer tweeted: "Dear M&S….. Not sure my mother would appreciate these chocolates…'chocolate tulips filled with salted caramel'.

"I can't be the only one who sees something phallic with these… especially when they stand up… And filled with salted caramel…"

Another joked: "Chocolate covered Tulips from M&S for Mother's Day, tulips, really, looks like something Ann Summers would produce!"

And a third laughed: “These aren’t just any old chocolate penises, by the way. These are M&S chocolate penises."

They added: “Do M&S know these don’t actually look like tulips, by the way?”

“No, it just looks like a fun night out with some fellow adults who all insist on being rather over-friendly, I must say.”

Even though some have joked about the chocolates looking phallic, many are a fan of the floral design.

The “blooming brilliant” choccies have sold out online.

Many have gushed over them on Facebook too.

One commenter said: “Wow M&S you have really hit the mark on these! They look stunning!”
