Megan Mullally says no designers will dress her for SAG Awards
December 16, 2018Megan Mullally is apparently not famous enough to borrow clothes.
The “Will and Grace” actress, 60, is set to host the 2019 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards in January, and shared on social media Friday that she’s frantically searching for something to wear.
“Looks like I will be buying my dress online though, as per my usual, even though there is literally a 100 percent chance that I will be on camera, because I’M HOSTING IT,” Mullally wrote on Instagram. “Designers do not send me dresses.”
It’s not the first time the star has broached the subject: At the 2018 Emmys, Mullally told ET that she purchased her red and black Carolina Herrera gown online, even though she once met the fashion designer and found her “kind of mean.”
And while Mullally may have her online shopping method down to a science at this point, she’s still running into roadblocks.
“I’m online scrolling through the gowns sections of various websites — which I know how to do pretty well at this point — and then I tried to order something from Saks Fifth Avenue and they cancelled my order ?,” the actress wrote in her post. “Oh, the glamor [sic] of it all.”
