Mother’s Day is this Sunday (March 14) which means Britons up and down the country will be rushing to send cards and gifts to their mothers and grandmothers. It’s not all about the presents though – many will appreciate small gestures such as offering to do the washing up or making them breakfast in bed. But for those looking to send their mother something special, the founder of MoneySavingExpert.com has revealed where you can find a 100-stem bouquet for just £20.

Martin said: “It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday!

“One of the best bouquets I’ve seen out there, price-wise anyway, is a 100-stem M&S couriered bouquet for £20.

“One hundred flowers. Stocks are limited so if you want it, be quick.

“Do of course always check your local florists, they can have some great deals too.”

M&S are also offering £5 off selected Mother’s Day bouquets with free couriered delivery.

According to the MoneySavingExpert.com, you don’t have to enter a code either, it is automatically applied.

Delivery is also free but you cannot choose a specific time slot.

Some of the flower varieties include beautiful red roses, stunning white lilies and seasonal yellow daffodils.

Unfortunately, MoneySavingExpert.com has said it appears there are no more Sunday delivery slots.

M&S is yet to confirm whether this is the case.

If you want to make sure your flowers reach your mum on time, type in her address to see if you can get a slot on Sunday.

Should the flowers be out of budget, or you’d prefer an alternative, Martin has shared a way you can get her something for free.

He said: “If you don’t want to spend money, and you shouldn’t have to, you know – commercial peer pressure and all that.

“There are free printable gift cheques online.

“So you can promise your mum a breakfast in bed or to clean the car or a future day out – something to look forward to at the moment.

“So just download those and don’t spend any money.”

The cheques are available on MoneySavingExpert.com and are free to print.

The cheques have a section for the sender to put what they intend to do for their mum and when it “must be redeemed by”.

The idea is that when she presents the cheque to you further on down the line, you have to fulfil what you have pledged.

Some other ideas for the cheques include cooking her dinner, watching her favourite film with her or treating her to a box of chocolates.

The Martin Lewis Money Show continues on Thursday on ITV from 8.30pm.
