Man horrified as Tinder date’s mum texts him demanding he marries her sonOctober 26, 2021
A man has revealed arguably one of the most surreal Tinder dating experiences he has ever had – when his potential love interest's mum attacked him over text.
The TikTok star, who goes by the name @trustmeimaexpert, took to the video platform to explain how the date hadn't quite gone to plan and he had decided to call it quits.
But the mum of his date had other ideas. Reading out screenshots from a text conversation he had a few weeks after the date, he said: “This is 'blank' the mother of 'bank.
“You took my son on a date a couple of weeks ago and told him that you two are not compatible.
“I must say I was quite devastated when my son returned home from the outing and was not engaged to the man that he loves so I am reaching out to you to request that you enter into a relationship with my son immediately begin planning a wedding of which will be paid 50/50 between the two families.”
Firing back, he asked if this was a joke, and said he had “no interest” in dating the women's son.
He also said he was “really strange”. But, not to be deterred, the woman replied again to that there was “no joking when it comes to my son's love”.
She continued: “He has pictures of you already in his room and wants to marry you as soon as possible.
“We will be coming by your place of work tomorrow to discuss things in person and present you with a ring that we have purchased.”
He warned the woman not to attend his work – calling it “disturbing” – and said that he wasn't planning on marrying anyone from a “very long time”.
But, once again, the mum continued her attempts to marry off her son – poor guy.
She replied: “We will be by to speak to you at your office at approximately 1.15pm tomorrow.”
The man explained how he told his colleagues to “call the cops” on them if they turn up.
Clarifying that the pair “never actually turned up at the office – thank God”, he showed another screenshot from another number that the mother had texted from, as he had blocked the other one.
Reading out the message, he said: “I have seen your TikTok video, and I must say that I am appalled that you think it is okay to treat your husband and mother in law in such a manner.
“I have made notations in my notebook of each person who commented on said video and will be taking proper legal action against them.”
She also called him an “embarrassment to my family and your husband”.
But here's the kicker – she requested that he buy his “husband” a new vehicle, and that it must cost more than £25,000!
He responded, eloquently: “Just go f**k a cactus.”
But no, the story didn't end there.
The man got the police involved, and found out that it was indeed the person's mother who was texting – and that it wasn't the first time the pair had done it either.
The lesson here is that you need to check out your date's family before going on the date.
