Spring has almost sprung. In much of the UK the sun has come out to play and daffodils can be seen popping up to say hello.
Loose Women star Stacey Solomon has taken advantage of the lovely weather to undertake a spot of gardening, transforming a corner of her outdoor space alongside her one-year-old son Rex.
Starting the day with a cuppa while sat on her artificial lawn, the former X Factor contestant explained on her Instagram Stories that: “I think I’m going to pop to the garden centre I need some more soil and stones and weed killer and I want to pick up some new plants to pot and bed ready for spring”.

The star then shared sweet footage with her 4.1 million followers of her and Rex collecting flowers and and plants in a trolley while going round the garden centre.
Back home, while Rex was sleeping, Stacey then took to potting her new purchases explaining that it was “the most therapeutic thing” she has “done in ages”.

She then added: “Planted the flowers apologise to any of you budding gardeners out there I’m sure I’m probably doing it wrong but it worked for the others so I’m sticking with it”.
The mum of three then shared how she put a lining over the the flowers and “cut holes for the plants to come through”.
She then added on top a thin layer of soil, and covered it in white stones, which looked stunning.
Stacey, who recently got engaged to former EastEnders star Joe Swash, also potted some of her new flowers into a duck egg blue plant pots.
She explained: "And I also screwed some hooks into this hanging bucket so I could hang my garden bits from it so this can be my little corner".
Showing off the full fruits of her labour, Stacey utilised her famed 'Tap to tidy' method, where she shows before and after shots of mess.

The final result was a very tidy and serene-looking space, with the blue and purple flowers poking up through the white stones.
Stacey captioned the post, writing: "Aww it's only a tiny corner it's made me so happy.
"Just need to sort the rest of the garden our now. Slow and steady".
