As the royal couple visited Euston station on Monday morning, Kate arrived in serious style.
Opting for one of her go-to designers, the mum-of-three wore a military khaki coat by British designer Alexander McQueen.
She paired the pricey coat with a traditional tartan scarf, a pair of black boots from Ralph Lauren and a ladylike Grace Han bag.
We think it’s safe to say that when it comes to coats, Kate has a few enviable designs hanging in her wardrobe.
Whether it’s for a spring appearance or a blistery cold day, the Duchess always looks elegant and royal protocol ready.
Somehow Kate always looks so calm and collected, so you may be wondering how she keeps so poised in the winter months.
Taking a look back through Kate’s coat choices, you will always find that they are made with heavy fabrics, like wool and checked tweeds.
This is obviously to keep the Duchess warm, but also to prevent the coat from flapping chaotically in the wind.
As well as this, you may have also realised how her coat is never higher than knee level which also helps to deter wind from blowing open the coat, or any embarrassing mishaps. This is an important royal rule that all must follow.

Another rule royals must follow is that they are never seen to remove their coats, this will always be done behind-the-scenes.
The reason for this, according to Australian website Honey, is due to the simple matter of etiquette.
No matter what outfit they may be wearing underneath the coat, it is deemed unladylike for someone of Kate’s status to remove their clothing in front of the public.

If you are wondering how her hair never looks out of place? Well, Kate knows exactly which style of hair to have according to the weather.
If it’s a nice summer’s day, of course the gorgeous mum-of-three will have the stunning brunette hair down in her signature bouncy blowdry.
Whereas, if she attends a public appearance which is outside on a wet and windy day, then the Duchess will commonly sport her lovely half up, half down style to keep the hair in place and prevent it from flying unflatteringly across her face.
So the next time you venture out for a winter walk, take some of Kate’s tips to see you looking your best.
