Kate Middleton wore a chic red dress on Wednesday in London as she hosted a Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, supported by The Royal Foundation.

Wearing her hair down in her usual wave, The Duchess stunned in yet another flawless look for her royal appearance.

Stood by the side of her husband Prince William, Kate looked a vision as she blew her royal fans away in a scarlet red midi length coat which featured an oversized bow. She teamed her look with matching red suede court heels and a clutch bag which she entered the event holding in both hands.

You may recognise this style as The Duchess actually wore an identical version to Prince Phillip's funeral back in April which retails at around £3,000, she teamed her elegant look with a pair of silver drop earrings which are believed to have been passed down from the late Queen Mother.

The brunette beauty completed her look with her favourite £229 LK Bennett court heels and a recycled Mui Mui bag costing a pricey £640.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been seen in all colours of the rainbow since her first appearance in the spotlight many years ago but red is one she is a huge fan of and we love to see her in it too.

Typically the colour red is most commonly associated with love and Christmas and all royal fans will know how important it is for The Royal Family to dress for the occasion so it’s no surprise that The Duchess stepped out in such a festive colour.

Kate, 39 has in fact worn red on many important occasions, she wore a red coat to the National Portrait Gallery to celebrate the launch of her Hold Still Photography book, she’s worn the hue for many charity events and even wore it to announce the birth of her third child prince Louis.
