With stunning views and lavish interiors, the home which served as a backdrop for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’ s tell all Netflix documentary was nothing if not impressive.

From classic but neutral colour palettes and ornate chandeliers through to refined furnishings and picturesque vistas, the home was certainly fit for even the most discerning of royals.

Yet despite appearing otherwise, it has since been revealed the home did not even belong to the couple, and was merely used to stage the documentary while maintaining some of their own privacy.

Located just a stone’s throw away from their actual pad, the lavish £27.3 million Californian mansion is currently up for sale in the exclusive neighbourhood of Montecito.

Spread over 13,599 sq ft, the six-bedroomed home offers everything a Prince might wish for, including a swimming pool, spa, gym, theatre and even it’s very own orchard.

Marketed by estate agents Riskin Partners Estate Group, the property once belonged to disgraced Quadriga Arts CEO Mark Schulhof, who was accused of orchestrating a $116 million (£95m) scam targeting disabled veterans, reports the Mail on Sunday.

Currently on the market for an estimated $33,500,000 (That’s £27.3 million here in the UK) the home is certainly beyond the reach of many of us.

But what exactly does that hefty price tag get you?

Set in 2.08 acres of land, the entire estate comprises of both a main house, guest house and lavish grounds which equates to 6 bedrooms in total alongside 6 full bathrooms, and 2 half baths.

The home itself is built on a flat and picturesque corner of California, with stunning ocean and mountain views clearly visible from the impressive home, along with plenty of natural light.

Inside the property itself, is a simple yet clean aesthetic, with plenty of room for any resident to express their own personality in the ample space provided.

During the documentary itself, the decor was largely neutral, with taupe couches and white walls serving as the backdrop for many of the couple’s most intimate conversations and admissions.

Carrying shades of taupe, grey and cream complemented the calming aesthetic, while a number of other added touches help to accessorise the home including flower vases, wall art, and even a large mirrored fruit bowl.

For practical living, the home also boasts a beautiful dining kitchen, while a secondary dining room offers an open and welcoming space to anyone hoping to entertain within their luxury home.

The plush home also comes with a further slew of options for entertaining guests, with a wet bar, library, home theatre, and even a stunning paved terrace also providing a number of options depending on your mood.

It isn’t just about entertaining guests however, with the home also offering a versatile and personalised space for anyone, both young and old to unwind after a long day.

Whether it’s relaxing in a Moroccan themed room, or playing in a chalk walled bonus room there’s something for every taste within the mansion’s walls.

Beyond the buildings themselves, the stunning grounds outside feature everything from a flat Wimbledon-quality lawn through to an impressive outdoor pool and spa, meaning there’s no shortage of year-round fun for any lucky owner.

Travelling further away from the home, pebbled walkways navigate the immaculate gardens, while also leading to a private orchard and raised organic vegetable garden for any green thumbed residents.

Multiple chicken coops also feature on site to allow for a daily supply of fresh eggs, while beehives laden with local honey also allow residents to effectively live off-grid.

And if that wasn’t enough, the property even features a number of other environmentally friendly features too, which include solar panels, a generator and even a greywater irrigation system and private well to truly allow any potential owner the ability to be self-sufficient.
