How much UK’s favourite Christmas songs earn from streaming including Mariah Carey

If there's one thing that confirms the festive period has arrived, it's Christmas songs.

Each year a host of popular festive tracks take over shops, radio, and venues as December gets underway.

Everyone has a favourite Christmas record, whether it be one of Michael Buble's various festive offerings, Wham!'s catchy Last Christmas, or Brenda Lee's classic, Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree.

The artists behind some of the most iconic festive tracks undoubtedly welcome Christmas with open arms each year, with their streams skyrocketing as soon as 1 December comes round.

New research from expert casino comparison site CasinoBee has revealed which Christmas songs are the most profitable and how much some of the most popular tracks earn.

The study used data from streaming giant Spotify to establish which artist takes home the largest payout thanks to the festive period.

It's no wonder Mariah Carey loves Christmas so much, as her hit All I Want For Christmas Is You the most profitable Christmas song.

The songstress' festive song is streamed over a billion times every year on Spotify, earns her an estimated £2,819,867.93 from the streams alone.

Mariah isn't the only artist who rakes in millions thanks to a Christmas hit, and others including Wham!, Elton John, and Justin Bieber all take home eye-watering paycheques every year.

While Mariah tops the list of high-earners, Wham! and their track come in second place while pop star Ariana Grande places third, earning over £1.5million from her song, Santa Tell me.

Michael Bublé's various festive records earn him a whopping £7,013,775.47 every year, and his three most popular tracks, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, Holly Jolly Christmas and Santa Claus is Coming to Town, see him take home a combined amount of £2,833,203.41 from streams alone.
