Emmys 2020: See what stars wore for this year's virtual show
Last September, the Emmys were presented in a virtual ceremony due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, with only host Jimmy Kimmel and celebrity presenters attending live at the Staples Center. Nominees appeared remotely, some from their homes or socially distanced watch parties, and awards were delivered by people in fancy Hazmat suits.
The show on everyone’s lips last year was “Schitt’s Creek,” which swept all the major comedy categories and won trophies for each of its four main stars and best comedy series. It was “Succession” and “Euphoria” that garnered big wins on the drama side, and “Watchmen” reigned supreme when it came to limited series.
The 2021 Emmys will air Sunday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. on CBS and will be available to stream live on Paramount+.
