Dolly Parton’s younger brother Floyd died this week.

Floyd Estel Parton, 61, of Sevierville, Tennessee, died Dec. 6, his family reported.

Parton, himself a songwriter and composer, was remembered in his obituary as a “renaissance man,” an avid outdoorsman and an incredible cook.

He penned “Rockin’ Years,” recorded by his sister and Ricky Van Shelton, and “Nickels and Dimes,” which George Burns once covered.

Another of his sisters, Stella Parton, tweeted out a photo of the pair in their younger days on the day of his death.
