DAN WOOTTON: As even Adam Graham’s wife slams the convicted rapist for transitioning to Isla Bryson to avoid a men’s prison, how trans and gender extremism promoted by Scheming Sturgeon and Slippery Starmer is putting real women at threat
Adam Graham, now ludicrously known in the Scottish courts at Isla Bryson, is not a woman.
He’s not a trans woman, either.
This cretinous rapist – a clear and present danger to real women everywhere in Britain – is a charlatan and a fraud using pathetically soft-touch rules to ‘transition’ and avoid entering a men’s prison.
The fact we only had these suspicions confirmed thanks to his wife bravely speaking out to the MailOnline yesterday tells you everything that’s wrong with the woke orthodoxy sweeping through much of our establishment.
But, as the public finally digests the true risks of self-identification, Nicola Sturgeon’s destructive gender extremist dream is crumbling around her.
‘Adam Graham, now ludicrously known in the Scottish courts at Isla Bryson, is not a woman. He’s not a trans woman, either. This cretinous rapist – a clear and present danger to real women everywhere in Britain – is a charlatan and a fraud’
After spending weeks piously promising that her sick Gender Recognition Reform Bill allowing anyone over 16 – even convicted sex offenders – to self-ID without any form of medical diagnosis would not put biological girls and women at further risk from predators, Graham has blown this dangerous cause to smithereens.
Having miraculously decided he is now a she AFTER committing sexual assaults on two women in 2016 and 2019, he duped the Scottish legal system and SNP leaders to the extent where he was sent to the all-female Cornton Vale jail in Stirling.
That’s despite the fact the legal definition of rapist means it’s a crime that can only be conducted by a man.
But don’t expect timid SNP and Labour politicians to talk any sense on this matter, given they remain so terrified of being described as TERFs by the rabid leftie mob.
Labour MP Paulette Hamilton inexplicably told Times Radio that Graham deserves ‘respect’ to ‘transition safely’, adding: ‘We need to just be fair.’
It’s not long since her leader Keir Starmer got tongue tied, flustered and then refused to answer the question when probed on the radio by Nick Ferrari on whether a woman can have a penis.
Speaking exclusively to the MailOnline yesterday, Shonna Graham (pictured with Bryson on their wedding day) said her estranged husband had ‘come up with this ploy to get himself a much easier sentence’
Labour’s shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves stuttered and stumbled when asked on LBC whether it was transphobic to say that ‘only women have a cervix’.
Making matters more disgusting, Scheming Sturgeon personally refused to back an amendment that would stop rapists and child abusers from changing sex until after the conclusion of their trial, a sickening decision that will force victims to use the accused’s new she/her pronouns when in court.
Of course, the First Minister’s dodgy disciples insisted that folk like JK Rowling and yours truly fighting against the bill were trying to whip up hate against trans people.
That couldn’t be further from the truth.
What Sturgeon and her ilk have now done is make this persecuted and tiny minority in society a political punching bag, dragging them into a fight trans people never asked to be a part of.
In fact, many absolutely understand the need for biological women to be protected from men like Graham.
There’s no shame in needing a medical diagnosis to undergo such a dramatic procedure like a sex change, which comes with irreversible physical and psychological consequences.
A sensible policy helps young women like Tavistock Clinic victim Keira Bell, who was prescribed puberty blockers at 16 and underwent a double mastectomy at 20 before detransitioning, avoid that unnecessary life-changing fate.
And, critically, it stops evil men like Graham from gaming the system.
In the end, it was only the revelations from this website’s extraordinary interview with Graham’s wife and the public outcry that followed which shamed Sturgeon into a rare U-turn today, when she conceded he should not be held at an all-female prison.
Speaking exclusively to the MailOnline yesterday, Shonna Graham said her estranged husband had ‘come up with this ploy to get himself a much easier sentence’.
She revealed: ‘Never once did he say anything to me about feeling he was in the wrong body or anything. I have a lot of sympathy for real transgender people, it’s a hard thing to live with, but he’s just bullsh*****g the authorities.’
‘What Nicola Sturgeon and her ilk have now done is make this persecuted and tiny minority in society a political punching bag, dragging them into a fight trans people never asked to be a part of’
‘His gender transition is a sham for attention and an easier life in prison. When I saw the photos of him dressed as a woman with a blonde wig and pink lycra leggings, I fell out of bed laughing.
‘I can see why he doesn’t want to be in a prison with loads of big scary men.’
She added ominously: ‘But sending him to a women’s prison is outrageous – will one of the vulnerable women inmates be the next victim to be attacked by him? He won’t stop, it’s in his nature.’
Given that testimony from a woman still married to Graham, I have absolutely no doubt his gender transition is nothing more than a fraud.
But so too is Sturgeon who, when arguing for her insane gender bill, incorrectly claimed ‘I’m a feminist’ and declared ‘I will do everything I can to protect women’s rights for as long as I live’.
Shamefully, that is nothing more than an empty promise given she is prepared to put fellow females at risk so she can engage in a futile culture war with the Tory Westminster government to try and further her independence pipedream.
For months, the SNP insisted there was ‘no evidence’ male predators would take advantage of their gender laws.
Adam Graham has proven them wrong, meaning it’s Scottish women who now need to be protected from Sturgeon.
