SHOPPERS looking to revamp their homes on a budget will be pleased to know Amazon Prime Day 2022 is just around the corner.

The annual sale event will take place on July 12-13 with prices slashed across thousands of products in every category, including some huge savings on coveted home and garden items.

Last year the Prime Day event took place in June, with massive price cuts on everything from Shark vacuum cleaners and steam mops, to Ninja air fryers and Ring video doorbell devices.

So if you need to replace some kitchen appliances, are moving house, or just want to pick up the latest smart home gadget for less, Prime Day is the perfect time to snap up some real bargains.

To access the deals in this year's event you will need to sign up to Amazon Prime.

We're expecting see Amazon unleashed a bunch of great value deals across big name brands, like Hotpoint, Dyson, De'longhi, Nespresso and more.

Across all home and garden categories, some of the biggest highlights for 2021 included price cuts on Shark floorcare appliances, Ninja kitchen appliances and LG 4K smart TVs.

There were also plenty of discounts on smart home gadgets too.

For 2022, we expect a wide variety of products to feature in the 48-hour sale event.

Some of the biggest categories to keep an eye on will be:

• Floorcare: savings on vacuum cleaners, steam mops and robot vacuum cleaners
• Small kitchen appliances: discounts on air fryers, coffee machines, blenders, microwaves, pressure cookers.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?

This year Prime Day takes place on 12-13 July, so mark those dates in your diary now.

The two-day event has traditionally taken place in July, but due to the pandemic the dates have changed over the last two years.

In 2020 the event was postponed to October, while in 2021 the event took place at the earlier date of June.

How to take part in Amazon Prime Day?

In order to shop the big savings during the event you will need to sign up to Amazon Prime.
