On Sunday 9 January, Kate Middleton celebrated her 40th birthday which saw The Duchess stun in a new series of portraits.

To mark the milestone, Kensington Palace released three new beautiful images of Kate but there is one in particular that fans are going crazy for.

In one of the pictures, the 40-year-old is pictured wearing a stunning red dress by her much-loved designer Alexander McQueen.

The dress is one shoulder with an oversized puff sleeve and perfectly shows off Kate's figure.

Since these images were released, shoppers have been going crazy as it was reported by Love The Sales that searches for 'puffy sleeve dresses' soared by 1556 per cent.

Just like most of her looks, this was another which had 'The Kate Effect' and had people wanting to snap up The Duchesses style.

As well searches for 'puffy sleeve dresses', Love The Sales also reported that there was a huge 669 percent search increase in 'red satin dresses'.

SHEIN have released a very similar style to Kate's which combines a one-shoulder puff sleeve with the luxe-looking satin fabric.

This is another steal as it's only priced at an affordable £25.99, so don't waste any time snapping it for yourself.

For all three portraits, Kate chose to wear Alexander McQueen which was considered to be a meaningful choice in order to pay tribute to the designer who created her wedding dress and her wedding day to Prince William.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot on 29 April 2011, and Kate's incredible bridal gown was designed by Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen.

There is no denying that Kate is still fabulous at 40 and will continue to inspire us as she steps up in her royal role.
